Recut the stems at an angle, use cool clean water, refresh it daily, and keep the vase away from direct sun, radiators, and fruit bowls (ripening fruit releases ethylene, a flower’s worst enemy). Wrapped bouquets want a vase within a few hours.

Yes, happily, with the recipient’s name, unit or floor, and the front-desk phone number in the delivery instructions. The keepsake boxes are especially good for hospital rooms since they need no vase.
